The unstable weather condition is one of the factors why a lot of people get sick. A healthy immune system controls our body s healing process and keeps it counteracting to infections and diseases. In addition, if our immune system is healthy, we can do a lot of things like school work, household chores, or office work. Here are some steps to enhance your immune system’s capability in natural ways.

First, take in lemon. Lemon is important in maintaining an acid alkali balance in your body. Fresh lemon juice aids in keeping your body s internal climate at a pH which sustains healthy bacteria as a substitute for the viruses and other destructive bacteria. The other way to enhance your body’s alkalinity is by taking apple cider vinegar.

Next, take herbal plants. A lot of them are available in the market, but you need to be careful. Most herbs help your immune system to become strong and capable to fight infections and viruses.

Next is to acquire a complete night s sleep. In terms of sleeping hours, every person differs in this requirement. Some research says that a complete sleep makes your hormone levels in balance such as the human growth hormone and the stress hormone called cortisol. A complete sleep at night will keep your body weight down. It also makes your brain to think clearly and to have good reasoning. Sleep also promotes a healthy skin.

Fourth, take lots of protein. It is one element that makes your body, mind, and immune system healthy. If you have protein deficiency, you will have a tendency to be high in carbohydrates. These carbohydrates will then be converted to glucose that makes your pancreas and your immune system in strain.

In addition, take lots of water. Headaches and great thirst are both indications of dehydration. You will know how many ounces you will take daily by getting half of your body weight in pounds. Our body is composed of 70 of water; you need to replace the amount loss when crying, sweating and urinating.

In addition to this, limit yourself in drinking coffee. In contrast to the current promotion that coffee is a source of antioxidants, it will just make your immune system and the rest of your body unhealthy. Caffeine steals minerals and vitamins from your body. It also dehydrates your body. If you cannot avoid drinking coffee, be sure to take two glasses of water after taking coffee.

Furthermore, remove refined sugar in your diet. It destroys your immune system and can damage your defenses against infectious disease. Also, it triggers hyperactivity, anxiety, and difficulty in concentrating in children. It can also trigger autoimmune diseases like arthritis, asthma, and multiple sclerosis. Plus, it decreases your Vitamin E level.

The most common thing to do is to expand your raw fruits and vegetables intake. Through this, you will acquire minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. They will not only enhance your immune system, but also make your body strong and healthy.

Do at least an hour of exercise every day. It will accelerate your breathing and improve your metabolism. Exercise keeps your body fit and blood circulation healthy.

Maintain a normal humidity inside your house. Through this will avoid the dryness of your mucous membranes such as those in the nose. The tiny hairs in our nose called “cilia” facilitates in holding and therefore avoiding destructive bacteria from entering the body through it.

As much as possible, keep yourself happy. Have a positive outlook in life. Happy thoughts and feelings help in eliminating your stress. Stress can damage the immune system and speeds up the aging process. Maintaining a positive attitude improves your ability to successfully handle stress.

Also, dental health is important for a strong immune system. Our mouth is one source that bacteria can enter unknowingly. So be sure to brush your teeth every after meal. Make sure that you visit your dentist every 6 months for check up.

Always remember that a healthy immune system keeps us away from infections and diseases. Through these simple steps, we can avoid some common diseases and for us to have a happy and healthy life.
