There are six things to do that are the fastest ways to lose weight. These six are good for you and will help you lose weight and keep it off. Rather than give a long introduction, I’ll jump right in because I know you are curious.

Step One: Drink a lot of water. Water is probably the single most important thing to help you lose weight and keep it off. It works as an appetite suppressant if you drink a glass before you eat and it helps you stay hydrated. Dehydration leads to cravings and water retention. Water also helps your kidneys flush out the toxins needed for a healthier body.

Step Two: Eat regularly. Five small meals a day is better than three large ones. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You are refueling your body after resting. You wouldn’t go eight to ten hours during the day without eating, so make sure you give your body the fuel it needs to get going.

Step Three: Eat a lot of fiber. Fiber helps your body get rid of toxins also. Fiber helps your body by pulling fat and other waste with it on its way out. Everyone thinks of bran when they think of fiber which is bland and boring. Strawberries, applies, broccoli, and rice all contain fiber.

Step Four: Eat more fat. Really! I don’t mean eat more chocolate. Our body needs fat, but it needs good fat. Good fats help reproduction and growth as well as help hormone production that aids in regulating blood pressure.

Step Five: Eat enough protein. Fish, chicken and turkey are good sources of protein that aren’t fatty. Red meat is bad for you even though it provides protein. In addition to meats, there are a lot of vegetables that provide protein and nuts have a lot of protein as well. Protein helps maintain muscle mass and it balances out carbohydrates and helps curb sugar cravings.

Step Six: Eat carbohydrates. Again, I am serious! Carbohydrates are good for you, no matter what you have read. Our body uses carbs the same it uses protein, as energy. All carbs are not created equal though and a good rule of thumb when eating carbs is eat carbs that “from the earth.” In other words, whole grains.

These six steps to fastest ways to lose weight not only work, they are a healthy way to drop those pounds. Along with proper exercise, you can increase your metabolism to an extreme level.

Additionally, motivation is something that you must have during your weight loss process. Without proper motivation, you will end up like the millions and millions of others who try to lose weight every year, but fail after one or two weeks. I can promise you that once you see your first results, you will be dedicated and want to lose more and more.
