Basques: A basque is not unlike a corset. The basques are used instead of wearing a bra and they can be worn underneath clothes for support or without if you are daring enough. Bustiers: Bustiers are the same as basques except they go from the bust to the waist rather than to the hips. Again, these can be worn underneath clothing or as a top matched with a skirt or trousers.

Chemise: A chemise is normally used as nightwear, but can be worn during the day if the chemise in particular is suitable enough. Chemises are normally strappy night gowns that cover to the thighs. Some may have splits in the legs and can be worn as club wear rather than night wear.
